I really loved the idea behind the design of the SYMFONISK speaker + light combination by IKEA but I was not convinced with the design. Because of this I did not buy the light and ask myself the question: ‘How does the light must look like before I would purchase it?’ This question resulted in this personal project and It took two weeks to complete. The main focus of the project was not the technical aspect of the design but purely focus on the shapes and proportions of the product as the original product shows that the technique is possible.
Början is the Swedish word for ‘beginning’. This suited the project perfectly as this was the first design project that I’ve done after I decided to quit my job as an account manager to pursue my dream as becoming an creative professional. This was a personal project where I’ve set a time limit for two weeks. In this two weeks I’ve challenged myself to design a lounge chair from scratch up towards a collection of final renders that will show the meaning and purpose of the product.
As an exercise in product rendering I tried to replicate the official product rendering of the Xbox Series X controller by Microsoft in Blender. The model was downloaded from Dimensiva.com so I could focus on the studio lighting and the materials.
In this personal project I was wondering how the Nintendo Switch would look like when it has a recycled plastic material applied to the joysticks, so I made one in Blender. Focus of the project were surface imperfections and studio lighting.
My first modelling exercise in Blender following along Andrew Prices Beginner Modelling tutorial series. This was my first project and Blender and had inspired my to explore every possibility this amazing free piece of software had to offer.
My first interior render in Blender. Tried to focus on the dramatic lighting and on the overall usage of colors and materials. This project showed me that Blender was really suitable for interior rendering and inspired me to do more of them.
